Vivekananda Rock & Thiruvalluvar Statue
Two monuments on two rocks, a short ferry ride off the shore. Swami Vivekananda meditated here in 1892; next to it stands the 133-ft Thiruvalluvar statue, and a glass-floor bridge now links the two. This is the picture every Kanyakumari trip is built around.
Rider tip. Park at the designated two-wheeler area near the ferry jetty, carry a lock, and leave riding gear at your stay: footwear comes off before the memorial and lockers are limited. Ferry queues get long after 9 AM.
