Padmanabhapuram Palace
A huge wooden palace of the old Travancore kings, built in Kerala style and standing in Tamil Nadu. Carved ceilings, polished floors and one of the oldest wooden buildings in the region.
Rider tip. It usually closes one weekday and has fixed visiting hours, so check both before you ride out. You walk through in socks or barefoot on old wooden floors.
